Happy 2024!

“My experience here was wonderful. My hygienist, Amanda was full of all kinds of helpful information.” – Katherine

A new year means new chances to better your health and your oral health is no exception to that!

Preventive dental care is the best place to start if you are looking to improve your dental health.  Professional dental cleanings are recommended at least two times a year.  Many people benefit from dental cleanings every three to four months due to health issues such has diabetes, pregnancy, cancer treatments and chronic inflammatory diseases.

Our office recommends fluoride varnish during your dental cleanings. The varnish is applied with a brush and coats the enamel staying on for 30 or more minutes. Fluoride works to protect the tooth enamel from the acid produced by the bacteria in plaque. Fluoride treatments available at the office, offer the best protections because it is applied after the teeth are cleaned free of the plaque and tartar so the fluoride can penetrate the enamel.

It's important to note that some insurance companies have restrictions on coverage for fluoride.  Most often the insurance companies will apply age restrictions and frequency restrictions to fluoride treatment even though there are decades of studies showing the benefits of fluoride.

If you are looking to join our practice, we accept most PPO dental insurance plans. Dental insurance is helpful in keeping dental care affordable by negotiating discounts and offering benefits toward many treatment procedures.

For those who do not have dental insurance, we offer a discount dental plan.  Membership in the discount plan includes preventive dental cleanings, all exams, and any x-rays Dr. Estler may need to see. Any dental treatment that is needed will be discounted.

We also partner with Cherry and Care Credit for those who benefit from financing their dental treatment.  Both companies offer multiple payment terms to meet your financial needs.

With the New Year, it's a great time to think about preventive dental care.  Call us for a dental checkup and cleaning appointment!
